BandLab’s mastering capabilities just got an upgrade – here’s what’s new

BandLab has rolled out a new update, which focuses chiefly on the upgrade of its mastering capabilities.
The popular DAW – which also offers social features including video sharing and messaging and boasts over 100 million users worldwide – has introduced a raft of improvements to its mastering features.
Now, producers are able to adjust the intensity of each preset across 11 levels, rather than simply applying the preset at a fixed setting. This means it’s now easier to finetune the level of processing depending on the requirements of the track.
The update also introduces four new Member-exclusive presets: Natural, Cinematic, Spatial and Punch, which join the existing presets, Universal, Fire, Clarity and Tape. These presets have been designed in collaboration with Grammy-winning multi-Platinum engineers Mandy Parnell, Mike Tucci and Maria Elisa Ayerbe.
Subscribers of BandLab’s top tier, Max, also now have access to a new three-band Mastering EQ, offering extra control over lows, mids and highs before the export of your track.
BandLab is available in three tiers: Free, Pro and Max. The latter two are priced at $14.99 and $29.99, respectively, offering differing perk levels based on your requirements.
BandLab is continuously updating its DAW with new and useful features for producers. Back in March, the platform introduced a new AI loop matching tool, Palette, which helps producers find the perfect loops for their project in a single click.
